When the Sienese took refuge in the Castle of Montalcino to defend the freedom of the Republic, the siege of the Florentines and Spaniards was dire.

Today the city lives another interminable siege, that of tourists from around the world who climb up to the fortress to taste and appreciate the best wines in the world.

Fortunately it is a peaceful invasion that Solaria welcomes happily in its tasting room that was once a hayloft. Here Solaria welcomes the many wine aficionados to tastes its wines and oil , it has a small apartment too.

It is also possible to have a cellar tour, to see the beautiful environment in which the wine develops and appreciate our wines and oil, as well as the breath-taking surroundings. At the end of your visit it is possible to purchase the wines and oil tasted.
